Framing Frustrations

Wow, congrats on your ‘teacher of the year award’! Really, you deserve it. Apparently your nationalism, dumb Polak jokes, and pokes at the Japanese are clearly worthy of such a prestigious award! I especially enjoyed seeing your face in multiple newspapers talking about all your accomplishments and hard work.

Ugh I hate this ridiculous town. Its not right to allow teachers to put down other nationalities especially if they’re teaching a course on International Business, jeez, do you want your students to repeat this stuff in a business conference? So, not only did this teacher not get fired or reprimanded in front of class (after a Polish Nationality organization got word of the jokes and contacted the school’s principal) but the teacher just had to make an apology. The apology consisted of: “I know I offended someone in this class and I’d like to apologize. In the end I want you leaving this class with respect for other nationalities.” Unfortunately that apology just didn’t cut it. It was way too vague and brief after all you did insult practically the entire continent of Europe and Asia.

Some people are just better of not “teaching.”

But I really don’t know what’s worse that the teacher is a complete bigot or that most of the students are right there behind the teacher?
